The Cell Wall is only found in plant cells. The function of the Cell Wall is to act as an extra support for a plant cell and to also work as a filter for the cell. The Cell Wall is found on the very outside of a plant cell because it acts as an extra defense mechanism for plant cells. If plant cells were missing a Cell Wall the cell would burst since the cytoplasm is less concentrated than water making it so the cell would inflate and burst, so the Cell Wall stops it from doing that.
