Flagellum are only found in some animal cells. The function of Flagellum is simple; it is used to move some animal cells around. Flagellum are located on the outside of some animal cells because it moves the cell around and it would have to be on the outside to move it around. If animal cells didn’t have Flagellum it wouldn’t matter very much since they don’t need them, but they are helpful for cells to have.
