Cilia are only found in some animal cells. The function of Cilia is to move the cell around through liquids and to also move other things outside the cell towards it. Cilia are located on only some animal cells and are located on the outside of a cell because it has to move the cell around so it can’t be on the inside. If an animal cell didn’t have Cilia it wouldn’t matter since it doesn’t need it, but it is just useful for it to have. A fun fact about Cilia is that they are also used to remove dust from your respiratory tract.
