Site Title

Chloroplast is only found in plant cells. The function of Chloroplast is to create food and energy for the rest of the cell using the process photosynthesis. Chloroplast is located in any plant cell that uses photosynthesis, so if a plant cell is green it has Chloroplast and it is located anywhere in a plant cell mostly in the cytoplasm. Without Chloroplast a cell wouldn’t be able to live since it wouldn’t be able to make food for itself. A fun fact about Chloroplast is that the space inside Chloroplast is called stroma, inside stroma are structures called thylakoids, thylakoids are stacked to form more structures called grana, and grana contain the pigment chlorophyll.
