Vacuoles are found in both plant and animal cells. Vacuoles in plant cells are larger than they are in plant cells because animals can move around and get water whenever they want, but plants have to wait to get water since they can’t move which means they need a bigger storage place. The function of Vacuoles is to store different food and nutrients in the cells, and even store waste, which it then can transport out of the cell. Vacuoles are found floating throughout the cytoplasm. If cells didn’t have Vacuoles, it would be very difficult for them to live since they would have to get nutrients all the time and the rest of the cell could possible contaminated by waste.
